Newsletter 2001-2001     

    On The Rocks wishes everyone a happy and healthy 2002. It's that time again, to cheer everyone up and  keep you all updated and to let you know that we are thinking of you. That's why we have decided to fill you in with a little information on what's going on!  Poppi and I are still practicing with this Baby making business, maybe next year we'll get it right? Thank you all for your concern. At least some of our friends know how it's done. Our good friends Gary & Karl Petter have had a newly born boy named "Espen" and Diana & Phil also a girl named "Alexandra". We wish them all the best and a Happier Life together, congratulations to them both!

     Our Accommodation has had a few extras added this year with a fan, iron, hair dryer, mosquito machine & net, kettle and free torch! Also a few other surprises? To make your stay with us easier and much more comfortable. Last season room bookings went well, and are continuing to do so for the season 2002. If you would like to get in book early! Thank you all for staying with us at "On The Rocks" and hopefully we will see all again next season or in the near future.

     This season we had great fun again organizing Birthdays, reunion gatherings, fun nights and parties! And not to say our Greek Nights were a great success, traditional family cuisine and the best traditional dancing! Not forgetting the Annual Anglo Norwegian Nude Beach Backgammon Championship. (Mr Shelton for England) & (Mr Petter for Norway) Norway won!!! (again). There will be much more excitement next season so, be there! The completion of the sea front section has made a great improvement to the Restaurant and the outside Bar will add to that. Our Menu will be even bigger to cover all tastes. There will be a few more new changes made to the premises during the winter break, I never stop!

      From 2002 be prepared as the Euro comes into our lives. No more Drachma so, get rid of any Drachmas you may have as we will not except it any more. Only the Banks will. I have found another way of taking money off you all. We now accept most credit cards, quick & easy!
     
       The Council of Kalymnos hasn't made any effort to proceed  in any further plans or suggestions made by us or you, on Telendos. "What's New !" But I would like to thank you all for trying, don't give up though. I'll be battling them all winter, don't worry. The Kalymnian Airport has made very little progress as well, our Mayor is saying it will be ready and running by October 2002 ? We've heard that before, 14 years ago ! We shall see. You can email the Mayor of Kalymnos (Dimitri Thiakomihalis) with any questions or complaints, suggestions or anything else you may think could make it nicer on Telendos, on MIS@kalymnos.klm.forthnet.gr There will be Council Elections in October 2002. Hopefully something changes then!
