ON THE ROCKS
Well, another summer season is over and a new one is on it’s way. This year was quite an adventure - with our Marriage on the 13th of February 2000, and Honeymooning in Holland, which was beautiful. We needed the short break ! Then there was the preparation of the long awaited Rooms. A lot of hard work went into them for you all to appreciate, (I hope!) They are looking very nice as, everyone who stayed with us this season kept telling me. Thank you all for choosing "On The Rocks" for your stay. Hopefully we will see you again next season or in the near future ! There is a high demand so, get in early. Samson our donkey says “HELLO” to everyone ! He’s doing well and waiting to be spoilt again.

We also have our own Web Page, http://otr.telendos.com Many thanks to Penny & Phil. CHECK IT OUT ! There’s a lot of useful information and pictures there for you all. It still needs a little work, but we’ll get it right soon. Don’t forget, all this Technology is new for me. I’m learning though !
On The Rocks was yet again the place chosen for large reunion gatherings, fun nights and parties. With the Kalymnian Honey Makers, the crazy Pub group, the Police Detectives from England, the annual Anglo Norwegian nude beach backgammon championship and many more ! Our renowned Greek Nights filled with traditional dancing, Traditional family cuisine, fresh fish caught by Poppi’s father, laughter and fun for all… Much more is planed for the new season to come, to make your stay more enjoyable and memorable.
The Council Of Kalymnos doesn’t seem to be continuing any further with their plans on Telendos at the moment. So things are, as they stand, good in one way and bad in an other. The good news is that they have started working on our Airport again, they are saying that it will be ready by the year 2002 ??? But then again, we’ve heard that many times before, we shall see!!!
You can email the Mayor of Kalymnos (Dimitri Thiakomihalis) with your complaints, suggestions or anything else you may think could be done ? On mis@kalymnos.klm.forthnet.gr And please do so, as there is a lot of things that need to be done on Telendos especially on our side of the Island ! For example; proper walk way, fix the path to the beaches, lights along the paths, enough water for everyone, enlarge the existing wharf on our side, cheaper boat fares, get a second taxi service started, clean up the rubbish dump on the Island and try to cut down on the noise nuisance coming from the other side. Please help, as we need at least some things taken care of. To make your and our stay better. For any help do not hesitate to contact me.
