ON THE ROCKS TELENDOS
A happy New Year to all our friends from ON THE ROCKS TELENDOS.
This is an update of what is happening on the Island since last year.
First and foremost George Trikilis has been waiting since November to start work on the kitchen extension, all the building materials have been on the Island since then, but he is still waiting for the go ahead from the Greek Antiquities Authority, hopefully this will be given very soon now. So the good news is the kitchen extension should be ready for May with a complete Restaurant Menu, but the 3 apartments above, cannot be completed until next year, SORRY.
All the usual places to stay on the Island will be open this year. For those who do not know, the Hotel Porta Potha has opened the swimming pool at last. This means of course that the estimated price to stay per room per night will be between 8000/10000 DRX. Everywhere else should be estimated at 7000 DRX per room per night.
The local council is spending its money at last, paving the sea front walkways in down town Telendos. This has meant that all the tables and chairs at Uncle George and Rita have been pushed back, so the walkway is now in front of these tavernas. It should look ok when it is finished...
For those of you who wish to stay on Kalymnos but wish to wine and dine at On The Rocks at night, please be assured that you will not be stuck on Telendos, if the ferries stop running between the Islands. George, as in other years, promises to take you back over in his boat, free of charge.
All of us at On The Rocks wish to thank all of you, for your past custom over the last 5 summer seasons. We have made very many friends over that time and had lots of fun.
We will continue in 1999, as always, to give the best service we can and try to meet any requirements you may have. We therefore wish, if possible, to see you again this year at On The Rocks Telendos.
